Transnetyx real-time PCR technology is specifically designed to detect genotypes from tissue samples. 

We are happy to accept your formalin-fixed tissue samples for testing if needed. However, we cannot guarantee results due to the varying degrees of DNA degradation. In particular, acidic procedures will destroy the DNA in the samples.

Additionally, we cannot test paraffin embedded samples. Please deparaffinate the tissue using your standard protocol before sending to Transnetyx. The standard size recommendations for tissue type will still apply for formalin-fixed tissue.

When placing your order, please label your tissue by choosing "Other" and typing in 'formalin fixed" in Step 3 of the order process. 

This will ensure that our lab will be notified for proper handling of your sample(s).
