Label Use – Advanced

 

Labels are user created tags that can be applied to animal records and quickly viewed in the card and cage views. You can search and filter on labels and add and remove as needed. 

 

Labels can be used to describe an animal: “sick”, to instruct a worker “genotype”, or to refer a worker to a set of instructions “see special instructions”. 

 

 

Tutorial:

1.    Go the MICE list and click select in the top right-hand corner    

 

 

2.    Select the mice you want to add a label to

 

 

 

3.    Click the Bulk Item box in the upper left-hand corner and then ADD LABELS

 

 

4.    Type in new label or select from a previous label 

 

 

 

5.    SAVE and then your animals have their new label 

 

 

6.    Go to CAGES, if you want to see map view click MAP in the upper right-hand side of the screen

 

 

7.    Select Filter and then select Labels 

 

 

8.    Here you can select the filter you are looking for; check it and then press Apply

 

 

9.    You Map view will now highlight the cages with the filter you chose
